On both these cards I get a sense of loss and sadness rather than one of awaiting the arrival of something. The lady on the Vanessa 3 of Wands reminds me of a romantic heroine watching her lover depart or perhaps watching him arrive back from a journey. But the creature on the Magical Forest card seems lonely and forlorn. I think that's due to the coloring of the card; the blues and greens add a tinge of melancholy to the image for me.

But if this card does represent having my efforts I have put into things return, then it seems especially appropriate for the past week. I made sure that I volunteered to help out with training areas that don't directly involve me. Quite honestly I wanted to help my friend Richie who is the new director of Field Operations at the agency. He was coordinating Play Streets for the summer and this was his first training. I also know that some of his support staff are not that supportive. So I offered to help in any way I could. So I helped out during the training and then set up fingerprinting appointments for folks who were unable to be fingerprinted at the training. I also got to spend a bit of time with Rachel our Director of Education. I don't consider myself especially self-serving or devious but I will admit that helping these folks out would serve me well in the future.

I also met Sasha for lunch today which was a lot of fun. Ironically she lives in an apartment building across the street from a place I used to work. I also got to meet her daughter who is 4 years old and adorable. While we were chatting Sasha and I spoke about future goals as Tarot readers and she joked that she could see me being a Tarot Broad. I just love that concept!! It's so Bette Davis or Lauren Bacall. I think in my mind I've always had a touch of Margo Channing in me. In fact I remember reading a description of one of my favorite perfumes (Knowing by Estee Lauder) and it mentioned that it was appropriate for those old-fashioned dames that populated some classic movies and Broadway. It just felt so right. So as soon as I got back to the office I contacted my web host and bought the domain name TarotBroad.com. It's set up to forward to my Bee Queen website. And I'm also starting my own blog (it comes with the domain name) that I've decided to entitle "Tarot Broad's Bon Mots". I'll start posting my daily Tarot readings and any other related Tarot thoughts to that site.

Over all I'm feeling rejuvenated and charged up about getting my Tarot business started. I need to revamp my website and create some marketing materials. So that is my summer project. I hope it reaps a lot of benefits for me.
