COTD - The Lovers reversed (Housewives and Ferret Tarot)

Another Major card - that makes 3 Majors in 4 days. I guess something big is on the horizon (or within my own horizons as it were). Looking at the Lovers card from the Housewives Tarot at first I'm a little confused - the card made me think of The Chariot. But when I thought about it further I realized that this image reminds me of those teen tragedy songs that were so popular in the 60s (Tell Laura I Love Her, Teen Angel, Leader of the Pack). These songs involved one of the tragic lovers (usually the female) dying and leaving her lover forever grieving her loss. I'm sure this sounds much more romantic than it is. But in this card they're both in the car and it seems to be going off a cliff. Have they made choice to be together regardless of what others say? Perhaps they're a pair of star-crossed lovers like Romeo & Juliet who feel they must commit suicide to be together. That is the choice they make - they prefer death to being without each other.
Or perhaps it's a symbolic plunge. I looks like water is beneath the car. Maybe this symbolizes going off the deep end over someone else and taking that plunge into the emotional depths of a relationship. In fact it reminds me a bit of the closing scene of the movie Grease when Sandy and Danny drive off together and the car starts driving into the air as they ascend to heaven.
The Lovers on the Ferret Tarot are a bit less complicated but very endearing. These two dancing ferrets have obviously chosen to be together in a dance of love and partnership. They look like they are totally engaged with each other and enjoy each other's company. I can just hear strains of ballroom music playing in the background. Theirs is a dance of life and love and they are living it to the fullest.
This card is reversed for me today which may be telling me that I need to become more totally involved with myself and my hubby. Not in a self-centered way but in a way that helps me know myself better and be more focused on my relationship. It can be so easy to lose sight of why we married each other - family responsibilities, work, friends, can all take attention away from the relationship. And what I've come to realize is that if I take it for granted then I risk losing it. I do have to be fully engaged and not let outside distractions take me away from this relationship. The Lovers is a reminder that we chose each other and it's important to remember why we make that commitment to each other in the first place. We enjoying hearing each other's music and dancing together.
