Hokhma
When I arrived in my office today I was feeling a bit blue. So I pulled
a card from The Goddess Pack illustrated by Patricia Languedoc. The
card I drew was Hokhma, the Hebrew Goddess of Wisdom. Her keyword is
“satisfaction”. Considering that lately I’ve been feeling a bit like “I
can’t get no satisfaction”, I felt it was very significant that I drew
this card. As I read further the goddess said “You have everything you
need. Let go of all thoughts of envy and jealousy. If you find yourself
restless and wanting, speak to me. I will clear away the dross of
everyday things to reveal the wisdom that is within you always.”
Then the card offered the following ideas: Celebrate your life. Celebrate your goodness and that of those around you. Plan a gathering of friends and relish all the wealth and wisdom that surround you.
Not a bad suggestion. This feels especially appropriate in light of yesterday’s 3 of Cups. Maybe that’s why I’m in such a funk lately – I need to re-connect with friends and just enjoy that bond. Sometimes I can become such a hermit that I cut myself off from others, not realizing how much I miss their energy and influence. So instead of whining and moaning about stuff, I’m feeling re-energized and I’ll take actions to change what I’ve been whining about. I realize that sometimes I get into whinge mode, and that’s okay as long as I come back out of it.
