COTD - The Star (Secret & Healing Tarot)

Traditionally The Star can refer to themes of spiritual healing, the light at the end of the tunnel, the balance between heaven and earth or the spiritual and the mundane, purity and spiritual guidance.  The Star can symbolize experiencing the boundless, free abundance of the Universe.  Unbounded or psychological or psychic energy is flowing to you.  You're feeling personally energized and filled enthusiasm.  There is a never ending supply of this powerful resource within you that can be used in any way you desire.

Looking at the images on these two versions of The Star I was struck by a thought - these two nude, mysterious women subtly glowing in the dark are where I am right now.  That's why it's reversed, I am not yet ready to expose myself to the world.  I am gathering my resources and feeling these amazing energies which surround me.  I am gathering the stars and embracing them, incorporating them into myself so I can sparkle.  I don't need other's people's validation, I need to be able to validate myself.

I just love the vulnerability in these cards - both these women are exposed and open under the night sky.  Usually the night time can be a dangerous time for a female, especially a naked one.  But these Stars are not letting fears or the potential oppression of others to hold them back.  And they are generous with their gifts too - sharing it with others; pouring them out so that the world can experience this abundance from the Universe.

I feel like that when I play with bubbles.  It is as though all my good wishes and blessings burst forth with the bubbles and bless everything they touch.  Right now I'm at a point where I am checking my bubbles and making sure they are ready.  I am taking stock and just enjoying the feeling of all this abundance and blessings flowing through me.  I'm not quite at the point where I can share just yet but I will be.  I think I may also still need some time to process the responses I've received when I have shared some of my gifts (such as when I facilitated the workshop last Friday).  I felt such a glow of success, achievement and accomplishment that it suffused me all weekend.  It's really a wonderful feeling.  Now I have to keep it in my heart and remember it.  Maybe it'll help me avoid unhealthy eating when I'm feeling down.
