8 is a number of setting priorities and goals, systems, regeneration and structure, practicality, balance and symmetry. On its side 8 resembles the lemniscate - a symbol of infinity.  Wands are usually associated with the element of fire, inspiration, energy, passion, feeling, enterprise, ambition, matters pertaining to the "spark of life".  They can refer to the growth and awareness of the self.  Wands are focused on discovering your true self, apart from others.  This card can sometimes be viewed as new ideas and new inspiration entering into your life.   Or as taking time to consider the various aspects of yourself that you portray and deciding which aspects you need to de-emphasize and which roles you’re willing to enhance.

Hmm, three days in a row.  Obviously there is something here that I need to seriously consider.  One would think today would be the perfect day for it since I have off from work because I worked on Saturday.  And yet I have absolutely no desire for introspection or insight today.  I just want to take it easy and relax.  That is my priority today.  

I know there will be things down the road that will require me to be more focused and seriously prioritize my goals and reconsider my options.  Just for today I don't want to think about it.  I didn't even make it to school tonight.  It was the first night of class for the new semester but I just couldn't find the energy to even get dressed.  Instead I enjoyed a wonderful sluggy, relaxing day with my hubby.  It might not have been very exciting but I think it was just what I needed.
