That Was The Week That Was - A Weekly Review with the Transparent Tarot

Once again I decided that today would be a day for reflection and review, so rather than pulling a new Tarot card for today I pulled each of my Cards of the Day from Emily Carding's amazing Transparent Tarot.  My cards were Ace of Pentacles, Queen of Swords, Hermit, The Star, King of Wands, King of Pentacles and The Moon.  When I put them one top the other an amazing image formed.  The Ace of Pentacles and Moon created an echoing symbol. of holistic integration.  The Star adds additional depth to the Pentacle.  The Queen of Swords and two Kings  form a  protective team that will help me make it over the mountain and remind me that I'm never truly alone.  It's interesting that I started the week off in a place of physicality and new manifestation (the Ace of Pentacles) and ended it in a place of intuition and illusion (The Moon).  I went from the practical to the dreamy.  I learned to trust in things and close my eyes in order to open my third eye.

On The Hermit card there is a light shining from the top of the mountain.  The next card is The Star.  It struck me that maybe The Star was the light at the top of the mountain.  I made it to the top and found a place of hope and healing.  What's even more interesting for me personally is that I've been spending a lot of time at my house in Greenwood Lake.  To get there you have to cross a mountain.  I have always found spending time here to be healing and enlightening for me.  It's a quiet little town that has gone from a summer place to a bedroom community of NYC (which is changing in ways I'm not to thrilled about but that's not the point here).

The two kings seem to be offering me something - gifts that will help me along the path.  The Queen of Swords looks like a warrior woman ready to take on anyone who threatens my peace of mind.  The Moon is showing that I need to trust my instincts and open my third eye more in order to realize my dreams.  I need to look inside myself and see the truth that lies hidden beneath the surface.  I'm good at surface stuff but sometimes I avoid looking at those deep, dark places.  I think these presence of these court cards is telling me that my strength may lie within those hidden places and it's time to do some exploration.
