We'll drive our ships to new lands,: QOTD - How should I use my day?-} 6 of Swords R (Vikings & Romanian Dream)

Sixes symbolize the union of opposites, finding equilibrium, harmony in the face of constant change.  The suit of Swords is associated with  reason, thought, logic, will, courage, verbal skill, matters pertaining to the mind, communication and the element of air.  Traditionally it can mean moving away from something, perhaps something dangerous, a journey, moving to a new and/or different point of view.

Sterling:  The direction of one's life is off course; difficulties are left unresolved, which in turn encourages delays in recovery; the personality remains insecure despite the offer of help from some potential rescuers; the consciousness is trapped in circumstances disruptive to the well-being, staying mired in stagnant attitudes - like fear of unknown shores.

MacGregor & Vega:  Putting distance between yourself and past difficulties; journeying through various levels of of consciousness and studying different belief systems; a metaphorical gateway through which you journey away from your problems, whether literally or figuratively; a turning point.

Getting away from it all - doesn't that sound nice.  Of course the reality is that you can't escape from certain things.  And even more importantly, I can't leave these issues behind until they're actually resolved.  Walking away from things wouldn't make anything better and would probably make things much worse for some folks  - such as my in-laws.

As tempting as it might be to just sail away from it all, I can't do it.  Perhaps what I can do is put some intellectual distance between the situation and how I'm handling it.  I need to find some intellectual balance and regain my equilibrium.  It's about getting my head on straight and finding inner balance.  Things happen - that is the nature of life.  I can't control everything.  What I can control is how I handle these situations.  How I use my energy in addressing them.  I don't need to wildly swing away all the time, it's a waste of my energy.  I need to be more logical and thoughtful in how I handle things.  I need to communicate clearly and effectively because it's starting to become clear that the seriousness of this situation is not being understood by the folks I contact.

The turning point might be simply changing my own attitude and approach to these things.  Taking a more positive mindset will help improve things for me.  After all if I go into things with a negative attitude things will turn out negative.  If I have a positive outlook then it's more likely that things will turn out in a positive way.  What needs to be left behind are my negativity, frustration and lack of enthusiasm for anything.  I need to transform my attitude and move beyond this current situation to one where I feel more in control and clear about what needs to be done.  All it requires is that I shift my mindset.  It might not be easy but I can do it.
