What message do you have for me today? - Knight of Wands/Guardian of Fire (Revelations & Full Moon Dreams)

Knights symbolize protection, strength, ambition and questing.  Fire is associated with inspiration, energy, passion, feeling, enterprise, ambition, matters pertaining to the "spark of life", and the element of fire.  Typically this card refers to someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about life, heedlessly charging ahead in search of adventure and excitement.  The Knight of Wands can either represent qualities you possess or someone else in your life who possesses these qualities.

"After taking some personal risks, you may be feeling the need to put intense energy into being with yourself and discovering your self.  You're so committed to your own growth and direction that you may be unaware of the rest of the world.  You may be strongly introverted now, or you may be exploring a part of your personality in a secret or hidden manner." Gail Fairfield

Wow, the Revelations Knight of Wands suggests a lot of energy and movement.  He is astride a dragon and fire swirls around him but he remains untouched.  It's almost as though he channels the energy and heat of the fire is not harmed by it.  He controls his element as he controls his dragon.  He may not have complete mastery of his element yet because the potential exists for the dragon to unseat his rider and trample his body.  So the Knight has to be strong enough to control the dragon without angering it.

On the Full Moon Dreams Guardian of Fire I am struck once again by the fact that the figure on this card seems to be unharmed by the bean of energy that is shooting through him.  In fact he seems completely at ease and even peaceful, as if he's meditating.  It's almost as if he channeled the energy to strike because by touching him the energy makes him sacred.

This card seems to reinforce yesterday's message of focusing my energies.  The Knight of Wands takes it a step further and reminds me that once I've learned how to focus my energies I can learn how to channel them for the benefit of others.  Of course the danger is that if I am not careful in how I chose to funnel this energy I may risk harming myself.  That may be another element of my fiery nature that I haven't considered - fire can be very difficult to tame but it can be done.  If I don't try to focus and guide this energy then it might burn out of control and consume me along with anything else in its path.  This is something I need to remind myself to remember otherwise I could end up wasting all that potential, and who wants to do that?
