What might this card have to tell me about living today to its fullest? 2 of Pentacles (Tarocco di Sissi & Fellowship of Fools)

Twos symbolize formation, polarity and the coming together of opposites. Pentacles are associated with the material world, acquisitions of wealth and possessions, our connection to Earth and Nature, sensation, matters pertaining to the physical plane and the element of earth.  Pentacles can also be connected with practicality, groundedness and being realistic.

"Affirming and nurturing a new form of financial or material security.  Conserving and maintaining physical resources or physical energy.  Saying "yes" to a new direction for home, career, money, resources or your physical body." - Gail Fairfield

At first I didn't quite get a sense of balance from the Tarocco di Sissi 2 of Pentacles.  Then as I looked more closely at the card I realize this genteel young lady is walking down steps.  I would think that trying to walk down steps in a gown such as hers requires quite a bit of balance.  The width of the skirts could easily cause one to trip or fall if you are not well balanced.  And to a lady such as this, decorum and appearances much be maintained.

The young woman on the Fellowship of Fools 2 of Pentacles seems to be effortlessly keeping those two pentacles in the air.  She is barely touching the lower one and is not even watching them.  She seems supremely confident that she can do this; her faith in herself is supreme.  Even the turbulent waters behind her cannot distract her attention from the task at hand.

These cards show the need for balance and focus.  They remind us that sometimes we can keep things together if we focus and keep our center.  If we maintain our sense of balance, our priorities and our needs, our goals and our dreams, then we can manifest them.  We can make sure that we don't move too far in one direction and lose sight of our original path and hopes.  I've often considered this card a reminder that we need to balance realities and dreams, our need to pay bill with our desire to fulfill our soul.  This is something that can be achieved but it probably won't happen by accident.  It is something we put all of our energies into achieving.  As they saying goes "if the mind can conceive it then man can achieve it".  This does sound a bit arrogant but I do believe it's true.  The only limitations in our lives are the ones we set upon ourselves.  Everything else is simply a setback; a temporary obstacle that we can overcome once we focus and decide our strategy.

Right now this is a concept I need to keep in the forefront of my mind.  The only reason I have not yet found a job that will be fulfilling and help me pay the bills is because I haven't developed an effective strategy yet.  I can make that happen as long as I believe in myself and create a set of guidelines to help me reach that goal.
